Ford announces price of Mustang Mach 1 for the French market. The 460 hp coupe is priced starting at $76,596… not including the $36,835 eco-malus. Orders are open!
Last October, Ford announced the arrival in Europe of the Mustang Mach 1, the new “high performance” version of the famous pony car. Three months later, the American manufacturer unveils today the price of the machine…
On the Old Continent, this muscular variant of the Mustang is therefore offered at a price of $76,596, to which must be added an ecological malus of $36,835 in 2021.
Less powerful than the American Mach 1
At this price, it houses a naturally aspirated 5L V8 engine that gives it a power of 460 hp and a torque of 529 Nm. This is slightly less than the variant intended for the American market, which develops 487 hp and 569 Nm.
Technically, “our” Mustang Mach 1 is also equipped with a limited-slip differential, optimized cooling system, custom-calibrated suspension with magnetic dampers, reinforced anti-roll bars, and a lower steering ratio than on the Mustang GT. And for added aerodynamics, it also inherits the GT500’s rear diffuser.
To top it all off, the engine also features Active Valve Performance Exhaust technology, which adjusts the sound of the V8’s exhaust according to the driving mode, with an even sportier tone for the track mode.
Thus armed, the car is able to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds with a specific Tremec six-speed manual transmission. Ford also offers an optional 10-speed automatic transmission at $3,069.
A specific look for the pony car
Finally, aesthetically, the model will be recognizable at first glance thanks in particular to its black grille directly inspired by the features of the Mach 1 of the 1970s. One will also immediately notice its exclusive 19-inch wheels as well as specific two-tone stripes on its hood and side skirts. A total of eight body and stripe color combinations are available.
On board, there is black leather upholstery, light gray stitching and colored stripes on the seat backs, as well as a numbered plate on the dashboard. Orders are open!
