Audi is bringing its TT to life with a new “Competition Plus” version and a special “Bronze Selection” model.
At Audi, the TT is not dead yet. If the rumor announces that the coupe will be reinvented soon in an electrified form (there is talk of a metamorphosis into an SUV), the German manufacturer extends its life a little by offering a new version “Competition Plus” and a special model “Bronze Selection”.
More power for the TTS “Competition Plus”…
The new “Competition Plus” line of equipment is especially designed for the TTS and further enhances the sporty character of the model. It offers a more powerful TFSI engine with 320 hp, compared to 306 hp for the “classic” TTS. Torque remains at 400 Nm.
Despite this increase in power, performance remains unchanged. With the standard seven-speed S tronic transmission and quattro permanent all-wheel drive, the coupé version can still accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, and the roadster variant in 4.8 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.
… and exclusive look
At the same time, the Audi TTS looks more aggressive, thanks in part to a fixed rear spoiler and dark-colored details such as the Audi black rings at the front and rear. Four exterior colors are available: Chronos Grey, Ice White, Tango Red and Turbo Blue.
Inside, the 12.3-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit and exclusive ebony-colored nappa leather upholstery with contrasting stitching in Express Red or Ara Blue is available. The front seats feature a diamond pattern and the backrests are flocked with an “S”.
Finally, on the equipment side, the Audi TTS Competition Plus features LED headlights, red painted brake calipers and 20-inch black wheels.
Special “Bronze selection” series
In parallel with this “Competition Plus” version, Audi will launch a special “Bronze selection” series in the second quarter of 2021. Available on the TT and TTS, the latter will stand out from the rest of the range thanks, as its name suggests, to several bronze-colored elements: 20-inch wheels, Audi rings on the side rocker panels, etc.
On board, this color will be found on the seats, the center console and the air vents. Contrasting stitching in bronze and copper will complete the range.
When and how many in France?
The Audi TTS Competition plus and the special “Bronze selection” series will be launched in Germany in November 2020 and spring 2021 respectively. Their arrival dates and prices for the French market have not yet been announced.
